ARBURG's Spanish subsidiary was opened in 1989 in Sabadell near Barcelona. Many of the managers and employees previously employed by the agency were taken on by the wholly-owned subsidiary in order to make further use of their many years' experience of the market and the team's local knowledge. An ARBURG Technology Centre was opened in Madrid in 1998 in order to provide local customer support in this conurbation. A total of 20 employees provide support for customers on the Iberian peninsula.
