 | | The newly built ARBURG Technology Centre (ATC) at the Spanish branch office in Madrid was officially opened during two days of festivities on 25 and 26 September 2008. In the presence of Managing Partners & Managing Directors Michael Hehl and Renate Keinath, and Stephan Doehler, Manager of Sales, Europe, the building was inaugurated in a ceremony involving 110 guests. Besides the display of the new ATC’s extensive capabilities, highlights of the event were specialist presentations, a demonstration of a small section of the current machine range and the presentation of the ARBURG host computer system (ALS).

The move into the new premises has increased the floor space by a quarter to around 400 square metres. So ARBURG’s building offers sufficient space under one roof for modern offices and training rooms, a well-stocked spare parts store and, of course, the centrepiece of any ATC – the demonstration room for presenting the latest product range. In addition to its function as a forum for showcasing products, the demonstration room also serves as a place where customers can perform tests, try out new moulds or receive practical assistance in dealing with injection moulding problems. With its transparent glass façade, the entire building resembles the headquarters in Lossburg, thereby underlining ARBURG’s international corporate identity.

Martin Cayre was full of praise for the numerous guests who, despite the country’s economic crisis, showed a lively interest in ARBURG’s products. “It became clear in many talks with individuals that by deciding to present its customers with a new, larger ATC with numerous capabilities, ARBURG has correctly gauged the current mood. The guests were absolutely delighted with the premises and the services that it will provide in future.”
